Helping Maggie's keep the kettle on

Maggie's, meet everyone. Everyone, meet Maggie's. We've teamed up with the cancer support charity to help them raise £700k over the next two years.

  • Who are Maggie's?

Maggie's was founded by Maggie Keswick-Jenks and Charles Jenks in 1993, while Maggie was suffering with breast cancer. She was told she had only three months to live, but she defied expectations and over the next year and a half, using her knowledge and experience helped write a blueprint for a new type of cancer support, that you will find in Maggie's Centres today.

Ever since the team at Maggie's have been providing support, a place to go and an understanding ear to people with cancer and their family and friends, with Centres now operating across the UK.

  • Why are we working with them?

At first direct we've always put people first, but the customer service we offer is nowhere near as complex as the care provided by Maggie's staff. To help Maggie's deliver this kind of caring, sophisticated support we aim to raise over £700k throughout the next two years. We'll be doing this through fundraising activities, sponsorship and general fun and games, all with the aim of money for an incredibly worthwhile cause.

Our staff are going to be busy doing all kinds of things to raise a few pounds here and there, and we'll keep you up to date with every last bit of it. £700K? We'd better get cracking.
