Car Insurance

first direct Car Insurance is provided by Equity Direct Broking Limited who arrange cover with the insurer, Equity Red Star.

• unlimited foreign use cover per annum whilst using your vehicle in the EU, subject to a maximum 60 days per single trip
• up to 62.5% no claims discount
• new car replacement for vehicles under 12 months old that are written off
• personal accident cover for policy holder and spouse or civil partner up to £5,000
• medical expenses following an accident - cover up to £500
• easy payment options including direct debit (credit charge is payable for direct debit payments)
• personal belongings in the car - cover up to £100
• windscreen replacement or repair - subject to policy excess.

When buying your Car Insurance the following optional extras are available.

• Autonational Total Superservice includes National and EU roadside assistance, car recovery, cover at home and emergency travel and accommodation - all for just £66 per year (paid with first instalment if paying monthly)
• Autonational Roadside Superservice covers call out fees and labour charges needed to start your vehicle and/or recovery to the nearest available garage for your vehicle, yourself and up to 4 passengers - all for just £30 per year (paid with first instalment if paying monthly)
• legal expenses covered up to £50,000 to help claim back costs you may incur that aren't covered as standard, as the result of an accident that wasn't your fault - great value at £15 per year (either paid with first instalment or can be spread over the year)
• key cover provides up to £1,500 worth of cover for lost or stolen keys. All keys on your keychain are covered and we'll even pay for replacement keys, recoding (electronic keys) and also your onward journey should you be stranded – all for just £12 per year (paid with first instalment if paying monthly)
• in the event your vehicle is written off or stolen and not found, standard courtesy car cover does not apply. In these circumstances and for just £15 per year, substitute Vehicle Cover will provide a hire car of up to 2,000cc for 21 days, to keep you on the road (paid with first instalment if paying monthly).
