Card protection

The last thing you need to worry about if you've lost your wallet is contacting your card issuers or bank. Card Protection takes away some of the pain - just call one number and we'll take care of everything for you. Whether you're at home or abroad, our Card Protection has you covered.

first direct Card Protection is provided by Card Protection Plan Limited (CPP) who arrange cover with the insurer ACE European Group Limited.

• up to £5,000 insurance cover against fraudulent use of your cards before you notify CPP of the loss. Just tell them within 24 hours of discovering your cards are missing
• up to £100,000 insurance cover after you notify CPP within 24 hours of discovering your cards are missing
• Card Protection provides cover for all your cards - credit, debit and storecards - as well as keys and important documents
• cover costs just £29* for a one year policy or £69* for three years and covers you and up to 4 people living at the same address
• 24 hour hotline for cancelling all your lost and stolen cards.

It is important to read the Card Protection policy document before you apply. You should retain a copy for your records.

*This charge is comprised of an introductory fee payable to CPP of £28.47 for a one year policy (£67.41 for three years) and a premium (including Insurance Premium Tax) payable to the insurer of £0.53 for a one year policy (£1.59 for three years).
